Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: September 2026
MarketWiki BD respects your right to control your personal data. If you have an account — including one created by signing in with Google or Facebook — and would like us to delete the personal data associated with it, you can request deletion at any time using the steps below.
How to Request Deletion
- Send an email to info@fargrid.tech from the email address associated with your account.
- Use the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
- Include the username or display name on your account and, if you signed in with a social provider, mention which one so we can locate the linked account.
We will confirm your request and permanently delete your personal data and account records within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation once deletion is complete.
Deleting Some of Your Data Without Deleting Your Account
You do not have to close your account to remove data from MarketWiki BD. You can delete the following yourself, at any time, from inside the app or on the website:
- Portfolios and holdings — open Portfolio, select a portfolio or an individual holding, and choose Delete. Deleting a portfolio also deletes its holdings, transactions and any imported statement.
- Saved charts — open Charts → Saved, select a saved chart, and choose Delete.
- AI assistant conversations — open the Assistant, select a conversation from the thread list, and choose Delete. This removes the conversation, its messages and any files attached to it.
These deletions are immediate and permanent; we do not keep a copy. If you want us to delete some other category of data — for example the assistant's stored memory about you, or your profile photo — email info@fargrid.tech with the subject line "Partial Data Deletion Request" and tell us what to remove. We will action it within 30 days and your account will stay open.
Removing Access from a Social Provider
To stop MarketWiki BD from accessing your social profile information going forward, you can also remove the app directly from your provider:
- Google: go to your Google Account → Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services, find MarketWiki BD, and remove access.
- Facebook: go to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, find MarketWiki BD, and choose Remove.
Removing access at the provider stops future data sharing but does not, by itself, delete data already stored by MarketWiki BD. To delete that data, please also submit a request as described above.
What Gets Deleted
Upon a verified request we permanently delete the personal data we hold about you:
- Account and profile — email address, username, display name, full name, phone number, password hash, profile image, and authentication identifiers.
- Social sign-in data — the profile information received from Google or Facebook and the link between that provider account and ours.
- Portfolios — your portfolios, their holdings and transactions, and any broker statements or files you uploaded to import them.
- Saved charts — saved chart layouts, indicator settings and annotations.
- AI assistant history — your chat threads, messages, uploaded attachments, and the assistant's stored memory about you.
- Organisation and access records — your organisation memberships, API keys and any provider keys you added.
- Device and session records — push notification tokens, sign-in sessions and refresh tokens.
What We Keep, and For How Long
A small amount of data is retained after deletion because the law or legitimate business needs require it:
- Billing and payment records — invoices, payment amounts, dates and transaction references are kept for 6 years to meet tax, accounting and audit obligations. They are stored separately from your profile and are not used to contact you or to rebuild your account.
- Fraud and abuse records — where an account was suspended for fraud or abuse, a minimal record (a hashed identifier and the reason) is kept for up to 2 years to prevent the same activity recurring.
- Server and security logs — operational logs that may contain an IP address are kept for 90 days and then automatically purged.
Once these periods expire the data is deleted. Aggregated or anonymised statistics that can no longer be linked to you may be retained indefinitely.
Publicly sourced market data about listed issuers — prices, disclosures, news and company records — is not personal data, is not derived from your account, and is unaffected by a deletion request.
