Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
1. Introduction
MarketWiki BD ("we," "our," or "us") is a market-intelligence and manipulation-surveillance platform for the Bangladesh share market (DSE/CSE). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use MarketWiki BD, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- Account information: When you create an account, we store your email address, username, display name, and authentication credentials. You may optionally provide a full name and phone number.
- Social login data: If you sign in with a third-party provider such as Google or Facebook, we receive basic profile information you authorize them to share — typically your name, email address, and a profile identifier. We do not receive your social media password, and we do not post to your social accounts.
- Usage data: Records of how you use the platform — searches, issuers and profiles you view, watchlists you create, filters you apply, and scores you access — used to operate and improve the service.
- Technical data: Information such as browser type, device, approximate location derived from IP address, and usage events needed to operate the service, secure it, and diagnose problems.
3. Market Data We Analyse (Not Personal Data)
Separately from the personal information above, MarketWiki BD ingests and analyses publicly available information about listed issuers — including DSE/CSE prices and volumes, official disclosures, published financials, paid-up capital, and shareholding breakdowns. This is information about public companies and securities, not personal data about you. Our risk scores and analysis are derived solely from such public sources and are provided for informational purposes only; they are not investment advice and not a statement of fact about any company.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you
- Provide and personalise platform features such as dashboards, the screener, issuer profiles, scores, watchlists, and alerts
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the service, including measuring usage against your plan
- Respond to your support requests and communicate important notices
- Conduct research and analytics to develop, evaluate, and improve our scoring models, features, and the service — see Section 5
5. Research Use of Free-Tier Data
To build and improve a product like MarketWiki BD, we study how the platform is used and how our risk scores and tools perform. If you use the Service on a Free plan, you agree that we may use your usage data — such as the searches you run, issuers and profiles you view, filters you apply, scores you access, and your interactions with the AI assistant — for research, analytics, model development, and product-improvement purposes.
Where we use data for these purposes, we do so in a de-identified or aggregated form wherever practicable, meaning it is not used to publicly identify you. We do not sell this data, and we do not use the content of your private account details (such as your password) for research. This research use helps us keep a capable Free tier available. Paid (Premium and Max) plans are subject to the same security and confidentiality protections; where you would like to limit research use of your data, contact us using the details below.
6. Social Login & Third-Party Providers
When you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, you are authenticating through that provider. We only request the minimum profile fields needed to create your account (such as name and email). Your use of those providers is also governed by their own privacy policies. You can revoke our access at any time from your Google or Facebook account settings.
7. Data Storage and Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Authentication tokens are stored securely, and we limit access to personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only with service providers that help us operate the platform (such as hosting and infrastructure providers) under appropriate confidentiality obligations, or where required by law. When you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited); Paddle receives the billing information needed to complete and tax the transaction and processes it under its own privacy policy.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see our Data Deletion Instructions).
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information
- Disconnect any linked social login provider
- Request a copy of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including research use of your data
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
11. Children's Privacy
MarketWiki BD is intended for investment professionals and adult investors. It is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may be communicated through the platform.
